Lol that blog post is just terrible. I could probably point out a dozen problems with it, but just for openers: The idea that the solar system moves relative to the galactic core is hardly new. I can't place it's exact date, but I'd put it in the time-frame of Hubble's work (late 1920's to early 1930's).
