I'm pretty sure that this hasn't been true since about ten minutes after the wheel was invented.
Though really, the lack of understanding in the OP is nothing short of amazing. This is about Microsoft Advertising, which is MS's equivalent to Google's ad service, and it's talking about how effective they are at reaching women.
Of course, there's also the insanely fucking stupid idea that women and mothers are somehow "Lesser" computer users, and something that caters to them somehow can't be a "Serious" computer, which is so blindingly retarded that it makes me want to check people for brain damage.
buddy....have you even looked at windows 8? it doesnt even use a window style navigation.
its using some backfuck spring board system like apple
you buy apps and they appear on your spring board and shit, its totally rediculus
they are trying to turn the computer into a cell phone
this has been microsofts idea all along, moving everyone away from personal computers and into the cloud with tablets and smart phones
and now they're trying to assimilate the phone, subversively into the desktop experience.
so a dumb user can go buy a windows "phone" then come home and use the exact same layout on the desktop and that will become their new taught skill set.
instead of having a real desktop with terminals and windows and such.
you have this cluttered board full of app shortcuts and microsoft store links
its a bunch of bull shit
this really isn't even about women. It's about the fact that microsoft is using windows as a new platform to push an agenda.
it's mostly directed at idiots who cant use a computer (including some women yes) and their trying to dumb down the average users mind.
Also dont even get me started on the fact that their doing this for monitization purposes.
it's been proven that if your credit card is linked to an apple or google play store. you will spend more money than you would spending cash
because you dont think of it as "real money"
its just an imaginary transaction.
so by integrating the store onto the springboard. people will pay microsoft more money for widgets and unnecessary shit.
