but thor is not unstoppable and captain america is not unmovable. same goes for their weapons.

Maybe they are both uberstrong, but the ground they walk upon is not, so I guess captain america should be buried to the waist after such an attack.

Thats kinda true, since when he was fighting the other aliens and the bomb exploded, it hit on the shield and the impact caused him to fly out the window.
So I guess you are right if we bring it down that way :) Unless they did it wrong in the movie and didnt follow the real story behind that shield which maybe should oppose and hold all the forces against it while in CA hands.

But in theory lets say it holds all the forces without even moving (unless CA moves it while holding), then this should be a nice illustration lol

Isn't it obvious? The unstoppable force bounces off and moves in a different direction, but doesn't stop moving.

The unstoppable force would split in half, and move around the immovable object, and continue once on the other side.
