so my professor asked us this question today in class. i was wondering what you think the answer is? he told us the scenario at the end of class and said we had until next monday to give him our answers with a chance to get extra credit

here it is:

An immovable wall is in the path of an unstoppable force. What happens when they collide?

When they collide they divide by zero.

i don't know probably your momma.

they are complete opposites so they should negate each other but since they are also by nature unstoppable and immovable they can't negate.

so since its a bullshit question you may as well have fun and give a bullshit answer.

Assuming both are made of standard atoms they pass through each other.

The repulsive electric field from electrons is what normally keeps objects from doing so, but since they are unstoppable, etc...

Infinity can be quantified as a set.

wouldnt that infer the unstopable force is stopable?

I guess. When an unstoppable force hits an immovable wall it's analogous to a 3 pound weight hitting a wall that can take 3 pounds. They balance out their kinetic energy and reach an equilibrium of 0.
