Looking for some awesome things to watch to fill in the time.

Can be about any of: space, technology, health, environment, social activism

Pretty much looking for a decent budget program with credible information. Most importantly not overly 'mainstream' or 'dumbed down' for prime time viewing. And I guess it could be on any medium: cable, netflix, youtube...

I'll take any suggestions, even if you think its cruddy. I got nothin so far, so post up or PM pliz.

I have a thread that should be right next to this one from Discovery channel. i found the video's a little skeptical but the scientists/researching in the documentary are pretty convincing.

This is a series called The Mechanical Universe. It's really not dumbed down that much. My advanced mechanics professor showed us the Kepler episodes during the section on Orbital Mechanics.

I'm pretty sure I had to make a (free) account in order to watch the videos, but it's worth it.

not exactly what you are looking for but I liked them anyways.
However we got a thread in the German subforum.

Many of those suggested documentaries are German, however there are also English ones among them and I'd suggest that you browse through the pages and see if there is anything that strikes you:

I am PMing you a video advertisement for a longer documentary on the Hindu sect of the Aghoris. It's NSFW.
