saw this near my home (in quebec, canada)

its big like my thumb and i cant find what it is. anyone here already seen that&?

I would agree that this is a Lunar Moth.

During very early stages of development, they will look like this but later develop a reddish head and those spots will deepen in color.

I'm also from québec, canada and I work in a tree nursery so I see quite a huge variety of bugs.

That's definitely a lunar moth, i've seen some wicked lunar moths in their caterpilar stages, some are completely
With fuzzy bright colors as hairs.

I'll be taking a picture next time I see one to show you guys

I'm pretty envious of that honestly.

I would love to see more of these critters around, but they are considered rare here.

this was one of the caterpillar's I saw
