It's programmed with what we know in mind and the hope is it will show us what we don't know. While that sounds awesome, it still retains that overlying issue of credibility.
When you program something to achieve a certain task, you can inadvertantly taint the data pool with "what you think" it should be doing. This presents a problem in terms of integrity (when related to observation) and is going to be a difficult hurdle for these researchers.
Although I will admit that this is a really cool way to look at cellular routines.
Definitely. The universe will always be a few steps ahead of our understanding. Im hoping it gives them some insight into until-now unforseen interactions, epigenetic changes, etc.
