I know a while back when i worked at a tech firm we went to MS on a tour and they had begun development on MS surface.
At the time it was a tabletop with a UI that was activated seemingly by touch.
It was actually several cameras tracking the movement and proximity or a users hands, and it all ran on windows vista.



NOW they have a tablet coming out soon they decided to call surface. from the images it looks like it has the same dimensions as the first gen iPad.
It's supposed to weigh around the same as the third gen iPad and it comes with a smart cover / keyboard.


i was wondering if anyone has been to any conventions or seminars where they actually busted these things out?

I'm seriously considering getting one (maybe the second generation) depending on a few things.
