I had to watch this last semester for cancer biology. Thought it was really cool, blew my mind. All the bad things we eat and such the simple lifestyle changes. He goes through how stress can affect you, foods and much more. Also his personal battles with cancer.

these are 4 things that will never happen for the majority of people. then the stress that comes with living as a stupid person just gets added on top of that.

People are a result of their environment and at the same time we have a profound effect on the environment. These things can and will change over time.

not until we figure out how to cheaply engineer babies to have an IQ of at least 120. as long as we have an overwhelming number of stupid people that type of behavior will always be the norm.

Real world experience comes from years of learning and practice, not genetics. Dispositions happen in some cases, but the connection between continued effort and learning has been proven time and time again.

Plus, an IQ is just a statistically normalized comparison with the current population. The population will average 100 no matter how smart the population as a whole is.

if any of that was even remotely true then the world wouldn't be as fucked up as it is. the average person has the means to learn about anything they do before doing it but do you see that happening? i've seen "successful adults" not have the slightest clue about changing a car tire.

since the internet we live in a new age unlike any other. everyone has the ability to gain extensive knowledge on just about any subject but the vast majority are still clueless aside from things they have to know. ever tried explaining how to use a computer to an 80 year old person? you may as well be talking to a dog.

age and experience will never change the fact that the average person is in fact a moron. the "average" and "normal" are just nice ways of saying someone is stupid.

It honestly changed me. I watch the foods I eat so much more.

Certain people dont need to change a car tire. Let me ask you something. If you make 200$ an hour, are you going to get your car fixed, or will you do it yourself. I would pay someone to do it b/c I can make more in that time working then fixing the car. Not to mention, why deal with it? I know how to change a tire, it just makes my life that much easier.

I think about this, I would change my own tire. Maybe oil change is a better example
