So i'm getting my first telescope for my birthday, don't know too much about them, any suggestion or places to start looking?
Also I need a star chart or something similar.

Start by looking at the Moon. Next start by looking at the very bright stars that are one of the first stars out at night. You will find that they are in fact Venus and Jupiter.
