if a male and female have say a female offspring, does that female offspring have a higher chance of inheriting more of the mothers genes?

No.

The male/female aspect of it all is, essentially, 50/50.

The genetics handed down still have the same liquid % chance of being from either parent.

Except for the mitochondrial DNA, wich comes mostly from the female (whatever the sex of the infant).

That's not our genetic material, however.

It's completely separate from what makes US.

But you're right. Mitochondrial DNA is from our mothers and can be used for insight into relation.

Gender is always 50/50

X and Y only

XX - Male
XY- Female

Males have a larger-than-random chance of getting certain parts of the mother's genes, specifically if they are sex-linked, or located on the X chromosome. Otherwise nope

Seeing as how males get their X chromosome from their mother (the daughter's paternal grandmother), though, you may want to reconsider the situation with that in mind.

I'm comfortable with my aquas 50/50 shot of pulling genetics from mom or dad, but you did raise a good point about sex-linked anomalies.

Males are way more susceptible to these.

But the X Y chromosomes are not really known for bringing with them much outside of gender description.
