I have a windows 7 hp labtop that I've had approximately 2 years. I've had zero problems with it...until about 24 hours ago. It wasn't charging, even with the adapter plugged in. After a trip to BestBuy and Batteries Plus, I figured out it was my battery that had died. So I bought a new battery for $95, problem fixed...or so I thought.
I plug in the batter and it fully charged my computer and is back to 100% charge. Then about an hour ago, the vent on the labtop is going crazy and blowing out alot of air, and now u can actually hear the labtop running. Eventually, the labtop just shuts down for no reason unexpectedly. I tried turning it back on and had to hold the power button down for almost 15 seconds until it finally decided to turn back on. Then about a minute or two later, after running loud again, it just shuts down again for no damn reason. This is the 3rd time I've had to turn it back on, and I took out the battery to see if it was causing it. The sound it was making has gone away, as well as the air blowing out the vent and it hasn't shut down on me. I plugged the battery back in, and even with it back in, I'm having no problems.
I feel this won't last long though. I'm predicting it's gonna be a piece of shit and fuck up again and turn off or something else crazy will happen.
So any ideas as to what the hell is going on with my labtop? Again, I've had no problems with it ever until the past 24 hours. Any help is appreciated.
