what purpose really would it serve in a beginning stage other than aesthetics? i wouldnt buy a 3d display if all it did was just make the screen appear 3d. once things started getting developed that one could do stuff with it, then maybe.

personally, i think they need to work on 3d tvs first. i believe it was samsung who was trying to come out with 3d tv's w/o glasses instead of making the glasses better.

Screw monitors. Get a projector that projects the image directly into your eye. then your entire field of vision is your screen real estate instead of a measly 30 inches.

Welcome to First World 2012, where people don't know how to spell the things they think they ought to have, such as 3 "dimensional" displays.

'first world' dates to the Cold War and was used to describe factions

US and allies - first world
USSR and allies - second world
neither - third world

but anyways back to the topic. Why? Because we might be able to do it, but just not efficiently enough for it to serve any purpose.

no point in buying blue rays if there is no blue ray player derp.

same goes for 1080p computer monitors if no connectors or hd tvs if there is no hd broadcasting.

and i guess ill go the step further for you. if you want a 3d computer screen, a mouse that can move in three dimensions would be helpful. off the top of my head i dont know of any... unless you wish to only have the mouse move in 2 dimensions, and then i return to, is it really worth it other than aesthetics at a beginning stage.
