In short...

I've lost my OS CD... i hear you can upgrade using a USB drive, but where would i find the download to put this to my usb.

I guess i could download it from a torrent site or something but then am i able to use my own genuine cd key?

sorry bit of a nub here.

Do you have a 64bit processor?
If so, yes, back up your documents, download an unmodified Win 7 x64 DVD, do a clean install, use your genuine key to activate.

Then install driver's and anti virus :)
