There's no reason to ever spend $100 on an HDMI cable unless you're seriously looking for one that can get a signal across your entire house. A 6-footer can cost you as little as like $4 if you go to Monoprice.com, and you can pay half that if you only need a 1.5-foot HDMI cable.
