ICARUS experiment at Gran Sasso laboratory reports new measurement of neutrino time of flight consistent with the speed of light

http://public.web.cern.ch/press/pressreleases/Releases2011/PR19.11E.html

This came as a surprise to me as they seemed so immovable in their previous experiment that their measurements were spot on.

Wat do u guise think?

I half expected this the whole time. Their measurements the first time were spot on and precise but the accuracy of the machine was likely off.

They were never immovable about it either, I think they admitted that they themselves were more confused than hopeful.

It's hard to downsize them on their romanticism over the crux of a life altering discovery.

I can't say, personally, that I wouldn't have been chomping at the bit given the same circumstances.

Regardless, they should be pleased with the studies and the implications they president.

Of course. Who wouldn't want another experiment validating Einstein's discovery? I'm beginning to believe that Einstein was right, except for maybe general relativity. General relativity can be replicated with classical physics. I just have a hard time believing that energy, a unit, can be equivalent with mass, a dimension.
