could i connect a power surge strip to a car battery and would it function?

like to charge something small, like a phone?

if this wouldn't work, how can i accomplish converting battery power to outlet power?

if all you want to do is charge a phone then it's stupid to convert the battery's dc power to ac just to convert it back to dc to charge the phone.

Whatever device you want to charge will say how many volts of dc or ac current it needs (probably dc) and how many amps

a car battery is 12 volts dc and 300-400 amps You will need to convert that to whatever your device needs. you should probably start being more specific if you want better help

A 9 volt battery would provide that... seriously, what are you trying to do? Can't help without specifics.

just want to make something capable of charging some walkies in the woods.
walkies have rechargable batteries that sit in a holder when charging, holder plugs into wall.

please, i dont need a solution like get a car adapter.
