why does a flat universe imply thats its either an infinite plane or a finite torus? like why can't it be a finite plane?
also doesn't the idea of a universe thats finite in one direction and infinite in another seem kind of odd logically?

the term logic with its current definition shouldnt be mentioned while talking about modern physics

im just saying doesnt seem odd that the universe would be finite in one direction and not the other? like it seems like it would be infinite in both directions or finite in both directions

So it's a
plane ray
. It's still infinite in that one direction

I don't know how the universe could be flat, after all, I'm standing.

Most people just shouldn't even start thinking about these theories, it's beyond the average person's understanding.

Your body passes though an infinite number of planes.
Woosh!

The earth is flat and supported upon the back of a giant turtle.

The earth, universe, stars, etc.. Are actually flat, time and distance is what bends their sides together creating a spherical shape.
Or how would you bend an already spherical shape connecting both sides of it like a wormhole passage?
You can't.. Hence the universe is in reality flat.
