Despite its fascinating purpose, science when mishandled can often be a painfully dry subject. I admire it when folks can use video as a means of presenting science in interesting or even inspiring ways.

So share ST&N related videos which inspire you.

I'll kick us off with my personal favorite: The Story of Everything. It's a must-see for Sagan fans.

I've often been left baffled and humbled by this video. I've liked it for over half a year and never once thought to share it in ST&N until now.

I hope you all enjoy and feel free to contribute. More to come.

First, thanks for making this topic. I regard Carl Sagan as one of the most inspiring and important scientists of all-time. He engaged with key social issues and made the case for the popularization of science. Not only that, but he was pretty good at doing science, too! I admire scientists who dare to think differently than everyone else does. In life, you must follow your own chosen path; otherwise you will never find real happiness. On that note, I LOVE the following video:

Amit Goswami wishes to challenge the current paradigm of science as material science by sugegsting that consciousness is the ground of being.

The video from TED astounds me. I really enjoy biology, and I especially enjoy scientists whose passion ignites ideas that could help the world on a big scale :)

Sorry to hate but I stopped watching as soon as he said our universe began with the biggest explosion.

You can skip 5:00-8:15 of the video if you like.
Goes into the milky way. I went camping on a bluff in Chattanooga overnight. Around 1 in the morning, after our fire burned out, we were able to see a dusty stream down the center of the night sky. It was my first exposure seeing it personally.

Everything he says is scientifically sound. He clarifies by saying the universe simply expanded, cooled, and darkened.
