Well this is jsp bro, also there have been alot of natural disasters so i can see how people jump to conclusions, and that planet niberu shit is preposterous, iso of a trust worthy source.

Nostradamus wrote vague things to which we have ascribed meaning and applied as if they were prescient of future events. If anyone makes dozens of "predictions" about "something" in the world at some point in the future, then you can be sure that at least a few of them are going to "come true" within the next few thousand years just because people like to put their faith in the supernatural.

It's no different than people looking at earthquakes and animals that die in large numbers and saying that these events are fulfilling Biblical prophecies. "Mass extinctions" have been happening throughout history and the world has yet to come to a screeching end. Besides, even if you were right and that some 2012 doomsday was going to happen, if 2012 was going to be the result of some mini-planet crashing into the Earth (since you keep mentioning Nibiru), then we wouldn't be seeing any side effects of it at all. Not until it was crashing into our planet. Really, if you knew anything at all about physics then you would know better.

Of course NASA wants to make a base on the moon. That's human ambition and human curiosity. We don't like accepting limits that we have placed on ourselves. Would you think that the people who chose to leave Europe in the 1400's to settle in the Americas were just fleeing Europe because they knew some calamitous event was about to destroy Europe? No, of course not. You seem to lack the scientific curiosity to understand why people want to start bases and colonies outside of this planet.

The Mayans did NOT predict that the world was going to end in 2012. Sorry, but they had writings in other stone tablets predicting that one of their gods would be reborn and visit Earth around the year 2300-something. The 2012 prophecies are very short and the "god" that's supposed to bring it about doesn't even have a drawing associated with it, and the Mayans were very keen on drawing their important gods on their tablets.

But I guess you wouldn't find this information in your "research" because you made up your mind before starting and then just went to seek out information to justify your preconceptions rather than committing an intellectually honest search for information.

No, in science everybody does NOT "have their own". Science requires evidence to support any claim. At the very least, the claim must be shown to be able to cause an effect we're witnessing. Some planet that's still millions or billions of miles away has absolutely zero chance of screwing with our poles. You do know that the Earth's magnetic poles are constantly in flux, right? This is because we have a molten core that is rapidly rotating. That's what causes our magnetic field in the first place. Since it's a fluid it does not rigidly hold to exactly one current that would maintain the magnetic poles in one exact position. Besides, we already know that the magnetic poles have reversed many times throughout history (we know this by looking at the polarity of the ocean floor around cracks in the Earth's crust). If it happens again in the near future, then it happens.

What do you mean you can't "see the damn planet on Google Earth and Stellarium"? What planet? What makes you think they're glitching?

There are literally thousands of amateur astronomers just in the US who scan the sky every single night, and many of them spend thousands of dollars on their telescopes. You think cloud seeding in the last couple days is going to prevent people from finding out about it? You're seriously grasping onto conspiracy garbage if you think a planet-sized object would be able to go unseen for that length of time.

Wrong. Hypotheses require evidence to support them. If evidence does not support them, they are discarded. Like I said, you lack the scientific understanding to know why it is that you shouldn't be afraid of every doomsday tale that crosses your path.
