As a combination of a birthday present and Christmas gift my parents are giving me the option of picking out a rather expensive gift.

My thought was to get a rather nice, bigger size TV for a house or apartment next year so I could have people over to watch movies/Packer Games/ Away Badger Games

If anyone could enlighten me on what I should look for in a TV it would be very much appreciated, I know MGS4 is rather experienced in this field so hopefully he can help :)

As for price range, let's say no more than $1,500

Information that may have an impact on your answer:
The TV will be coupled with a Samsung Surround Sound System
The TV will be used to play videogames, in addition to of course Cable/Movies

Feel free to ask questions

go with a name brand 1080p led. i personally prefer led because theyre typically good at dealing with glare, unlike plasma. for 1500 you can get a fucking huge one
