so, what do you lot think are the chances of us cutting through a nice piece of cloned steak?
and if it hasnt alrdy happened, do you think it will in the near future?

They're growing meat in vitro, expecting in to be cheap enough to be made for the public soonish. A steak costs a couple hundred thousand dollars atm. Google it, hopefully you can find the article I'm talking about, I don't remember the details.

not sure about cloned steak. but I mean there's already a lot of artificial insimination going on. there're GMOs (genetically modified organisms) which feed the cows (corn). also, they are working on genetically modified salmon which are better adapted to living in farm fisheries. crazy stuff out there.

Cow meat is cow meat. Why would they go through the expense of cloning when one cow tastes identical to any other cow that has been fed the same diet?

ya it seems stupid to me to. i mean unless they found like the perfect slaughter cow or something then cloning is just wasting time and effort.

should still taste the same, no?
