Yup! Mostly for gaming and listening to music. I would like a 5.1 system.

Do I want something worth 500$ like the logitech z5500 or something worth more? I have a 1300$ budget but if I can be pleased with speakers worth less it is perfect for me! I want a system that is powerful AND that can produce crisp sounds.

z5500 is gonna be one of the higher end things you find. high end pc speakers isn't exactly a booming market.

I'm laughing at anyone saying to him to consider logitech/bose.
They are way to overpriced. The only thing that they have is "lotz of bass". Not really good one though.
In your budget, I would consider some nearfield bookshelves speakers and cheap receiver. So if you want to add a sub later, you could add it.

Read a lot of review to know what are the possible brand for these.

not much of a market for 5.1 pc speakers so of course the higher power ones are overpriced.

I didn't see that he wanted 5.1.

Seriously, you shouldn't 5.1, except if you have a big budget and you can really position them great (which I doubt).
You really would be better of a 2.0 or 2.1 system with your budget.

thats what i said in his first thread as well. 5.1 and 7.1 systems are impractical for pc use.
