i think the soul is usually meant as a spiritual idea, where life is the essence of "being" or your awareness of being alive

"Soul" is a purely religious word that aims to describe how "we" will proceed to the afterlife.

I don't believe in an afterlife so I don't believe in the soul.

No such thing as a soul, at least in the sense of going to heaven or hell
Our consciousness is a result of electrical currents in the brain, yet there are cases where imprints of consciousness can persist in THIS world after death and even manifest themselves (aka "ghosts")

Evidence is not needed to disbelieve a claim which has no proof to support it. In simpler terms, people are justified in disbelief, and if you want to convince them otherwise then it's up to you to show them evidence to get them to change their minds.

Of what? No heaven or hell? The burden of proof for that lies with those saying it exists, not those saying it doesn't.
Or were you referring to ghosts? There's already plenty of eyewitness testimony as well as audio/video recordings for that. If you're truly interested it shouldn't be too hard to find.

Here's your proof of statement.

As for life, that's directly tied to the vital energy of the body, while soul is tied to the mind, consider it your conscience. There doesn't have to be any spiritual/religious belief tied to either, though people are free to believe whatever they choose.

our soul are what the church thought would live on after we died, the part of us that would go on into the afterlife in heaven or in hell.

in these times we would describe our soul in two parts, our consciousness and our subconsciousness, the part that are us so to speak.

since im not a religious person i dont belive in any soul nor in any afterlife.

life can be described as an attribute given to our bodies, even a brain dead person are alive atleast the body if not the mind (if they are on full lifesupport)
