So I bought "RM85 Polk Audio Speakers" and I was wondering on what would be a viable / affordable receiver to purchase and what specs I should consider when shopping for one. I'm not good with receivers and plan on only having these speakers and hopefully a TV hooked up to it. With that said what are some requirements I would need to get what i want? And any suggestions? Also can someone explain "Cord gauge" to me?

Price Range: is $250-400 I want something pretty nice so that i can use it for the future as well. Thanks for any input / resources of sites.

wire gauges have a limited amount of power they can safely handle. 12-14 gauge will be fine.

i can't recommend a specific model but look at the RMS power rating and get one around 100-125rms watts

Yeah. A wire's gauge tells you how thick the copper in the wire is. Lower gauge numbers means they're thicker so they can safely handle more current (and so handle more power).
