Anyone ever watch these? There documentaries on Humans and talk about our divorce with nature and how are ego has destroyed our civilization.

If you haven't watched them you can find them on youtube and I highly recommend doing so because you will have a completely new outlook on life by the end of the video.

Not sure if you're aware of this or not, but our "ego" is what has made civilization what it is today. Without our "ego" you wouldn't have the medium to express the thoughts that you are currently expressing. And sure, our "ego" and our "divorce with nature" is causing some problems, but our "ego" is going to be the solution to that problem as well.

Either that or humanity dies out and life on Earth continues without us. Whichever.

Ego is one part of the whole but today it seems that people are seeing it as only the ego and that's their problem...

In this thread, ego isn't referring to the conscious part of our brains. It's referring to the "I can do absolutely anything I want because I'm great" mentality.
