planning on making an indoor garden soon...(not planting marijuana, although, maybe.. -_- )
but i've been thinking of having an indoor vegetable nursery so i don't have to go to the store and buy vegies..
i have a wide enough space in my garage to start it but i just need a light source....
i'm thinking of having a solar powered incandescent light bulbs for the plants instead of wasting energy and get sky rocket bills...

anyone know about decent solar powered incandescent light bulbs out there?

You could buy some solar cell panels and buy a bank of batteries, although im sure it would cost at least a couple of hundred bucks. Id stick with the normal HPS/MHL bulbs or a LED grow lamp. tho my plants like their CFLs :)

not the best idea bro, solar power is going to cost you more than just a couple hundred, depending on how many panels you get and what size they are and how many batteries

i live out in the middle of nowhere and have solar power + generators for main electricity

i have 2 large solar panels and when its sunny they will run the lights easily for 10 or so hours, but I have no idea how much sun you may be getting where you are

cheaper to just use your electricity unless you plan on this being a huge garden

why are you building it indoors instead of outside?
