I have been looking to get a new phone and would like to go with android

The problem is I find that android selection is lacking in canada (ontario)

there aren't many androids up here and most dont seem to be of great quality

would like a reccomendation and opinions on whether an unlocked phone off eebay and what not is a good idea

and if so which ones get the most bang for the buck?

if you can dissuade me on what phone to buy and which carrier to go with also would help if you reccommend against buying an unlocked phone
