Does anyone know offhand if Lexan is toxic?

The idle thought came to me, shortly after dropping a dinner plate in the kitchen, and having it shatter all over the floor...

Boo. Was Googling, and looks like that's the case. Though, some of the results that came back showed that the levels of BP-A are negligible:

its a plastic

imo, use stoneware instead, especially if you are a male, since plastics can lower testosterone levels.

I wouldn't eat from it, but other than ingestion it is pretty much harmless. I constructed a computer case out of 5mm Lexan for a friend of mine.

sorry, my naive chap, but stoneware has benefits that glass does not, one being the antibacterial effect.

sometimes regression can actually be progression? it would appear so :)

edit: posted link removed, it was not exactly what i was referring to, was a method for using micrometric particles of titanium dioxide to inhibit bacterial growth.
what i was referring to was naturally antibacterial stone, i'll post a link to what i am talking about, once i find it.
