I need to get the cost of having a PET (Polyethylene terephthalate) tank made that is 50mm tall/500mm long/400mm wide

So far, I've looked into injection molding and extrusion molding but I can't find a place that molds/makes the object you need; or at least gives the cost.
They all seem to want to produce thousands of copies and I only want 1.

Can anyone help please?

walls need to be about 10mm thick

Yeah, it's for a SODIS tank

PET is the recommended material as it's abundant in third world countries and good at taking in UV-A radiation

Commentary published in Environmental Health Perspectives in April 2010 suggested that PET might yield endocrine disruptors under conditions of common use and recommended research on this topic.

it has been researched and the amount it yields is well below WHO safety standards

hmmm PET is normally used for thin wall applications wuch as soda bottles etc, i think you would struggle to find 10mm thick stuff. Does it have to be 1 peice or could you just make it with sheet material?

A quick model in solidworks makes it to be 3.34552 kg, or in terms of volume, 2.356 liters of PET. That's the materials cost, which should amount to a few dollars. As for the construction, I'd steer away from injection molding for a one off. There's a reason all the places want to make lots of an item, the majority of the work goes into making the mold, after that they can blast them out in around 30 seconds. It's not possible to build it in the same manner a (rectangular) fish tank is built, with sheets of material bound by a strong waterproof glue?
