YOu don't need a major in philosophy to be able to discuss about pilosophy...

Some people have better knowledge on actual philosophy.
I know you don't need a major, but there is a big difference in eastern and western philosophy.
So i was just curious, if actual person who studied could help me out.

What kind of philosophy are you talking about though, because there are many different individuals in both the east & west. Are you talking more about religion?

I know there is many individual in both east & west, looking more to the eastern philosophy. More towards looking "one" in the language of "two"
