then last 5 minutes especially

combine this with:

young's double slit experiment

heisenberg's uncertainty principle

the fact we can't find the higgs boson

string theory

quantum entanglement

mind = blown

btw if you don't know what some or all of those aformentioned things are, youtube dr. quantum. he puts them in aways that are easy to understand

Definitely had some interesting thoughts about this earlier today. Was thinking about how life is on a set path that veins out a little bit, almost like a tree, or lungs. (But only to a certain extent does it change in the multiple realities, because there are limits to the choices you would make.)

Was thinking about how I could change what would happen, decided to pause what I was doing and stand there for 1 minute, to alter the course of events, but then realized that by thinking about that, It was already going to happen no matter what as part of the "Fate" or path.

Interesting stuff to contemplate.

How does this show that life is illusory? All it shows is that there is still mystery left to discover in the universe's fundamental behaviour, and that this truth is more wonderfully complex, intricate and nuanced than it appears on a first pass. It is the measure of our species that we even have a shot of figuring it out, or at least getting closer through successive empirical iterations.

If anything, the last 5 minutes show that our existing physical principles of conservation are correct, even in the most extreme cases.

it demonstrates a theory which suggests that the 3D existence we observe is nothing more than a rendering produced by a 2D anomaly at the edge of the cosmos. then combine this with those other theories. life = illusory (illusory doesn't necessarily mean fake if that's what you're getting at)

The question of life being illusory, from what I understand, has been abandoned as a field of study in philosophy, other than in introductory classes.

Nobody really beliefs this anymore.

What definition of illusory are you using? There is no deception, distortion or error involved, rather it shows that what we are uncovering about the fundamentals of the universe is more interesting than what we used to believe.

I don't really get what he said about the plane's blades symbolizing aspects in string theory.
Probably explanation would take hours/days to explain, so meh w/e string theory.
