I don't know if anyone else around the forums is into ancient Egypt, but I am. I've been watching every special I can get my hands on for years.
Recently I saw the second exploration through the airvents located in the "Queens Chamber" where they took a robot up, drilled through the first door at the end of the vent.
20cm beyond the first door, was a similar second door. I've been trying to find out when they planned on making the third trip down the vents and drill through that one.
All I've found out is that it was supposed to happen at the end of 2010. I wasn't sure if all that turmoil in Egypt would put a halt to it though.
Anywayyyy, I was just wondering if anyone had any info, or articles I could read.
Also, from what I've learned, Zahi Hawass (sp?) the head of antiquities guy (and my own person hero) works obnoxiously slow. The few articles I've found said that if they drill through that second door and find some hall of records, or something else of great significance
they would not even bother telling the rest of the world about it.
I'd like to hear if anyone around here has their own theories about the vents, I personally have no idea.
