yes i can see what you're saying
but in a way, happiness is a sense of joy from satisfaction. The more i seek knowledge, the more satisfied i am.

so idk i can see it both ways

Maybe the only way to be happy is to do exactly what you want to? The way I feel right now is more like "empty".

The idea behind that is that it's harder to find intellectually fulfilling relationships if you're TOO intelligent, and that leads you to feel like you're always alone. That only applies to TRULY gifted people (IQs of like 180+) since there are plenty of people around with IQs in the 130-150 range.

I find the more i know about how the world functions, the less i like how society functions. And in a way i can see how this makes one less happy

it can be if you don't know how to process the things you know. like coming to the conclusion there is no afterlife and this is all the time we get. some people will see that knowledge as depressing and others will see it as a inspiring.
