I'm looking into getting a projector home theater type system, i plan to watch TV, movies and play PS3 with my projector.

So far i've been looking into the epson ex71, the only downside being the 1 hdmi outlet.

The little research i've been able to do through google told me i want a lot of lumens and a high contrast ratio..

Does anyone know any other tips or info for picking out the right projector?

Thanks a lot.

I don't know much about projectors, but I went to NewEgg, searched for "projectors" and then clicked Home Theater Projectors on the left, then ordered them by highest rating.

http://www.newegg.com/Store/SubCategory.aspx?SubCategory=513&name=Home-Theater-Projectors&Order=RATING

I'd probably go through those and read people's reviews of them. They will list pros, cons, and general thoughts about the projectors.

/e: This one has the highest rating with the lowest cost, in addition to having high Lumens and high Contrast Ratio:
