i've been looking at phones for awhile now and i am thinking of getting one of these two

the g2 is my top choice but idk if it would be worth the money (400$ for a phone yikes[if i dont qualify for rebate])

the 3g seems nice but is it completely out shined by the g2?

is the extra 100$ worth the upgrade from 3g to g2?
