Currently I have a Iphone 3gs and my at&t plan is almost up.

My dad and I were talking about this (we have the same plan), and decided to switch carriers.

However, I need to first decide what phone to get.

Some of my criteria:
->Looks boss
->Not the iphone 4
->Big app market
->Good in every aspect (talk, text, movies, music, etc)
->Not too big

Can anyone recommend me one, while answering some of the questions below?:

1) Which phone? (multiple phones can be listed!)
2) Why this phone?
3)What is the service provider, and how good are they (I would prefer not to have to unlock my phone)
4)Any phones in THE FUTURE (ie 1+ month from now) that I should just wait on.

Furthermore, if I get the phone, I would be getting the 2 year agreement so the phone doesn't cost an arm and a leg. That being said, it is preferred that not only the phone being good, but the service provider as well.

I don't care to list a lot of specs or anything, but I've heard great things about the HTC Evo. If I were to buy a smartphone in the near-future, it'd definitely be an Android phone, and at the moment it seems like the Evo's one of the better ones out there. You should really choose a carrier though before you try to pick a phone, especially if you don't want to have to unlock/jailbreak anything.

Samsung galaxy if good and samsung epic is sick. Amoled screen can't mes with that.

-I got rid of my cable internet cause of this phone. u can connect to it as a wireless network with your pc.
-supports hd movies.
-app that lets u play gameboy, nes, snes, sega, and ps1 on handset.
-1ghz snap dragon processor, that u can overclock. to make it quicker than any other phone on the market.
-downloads movies and music free, with the right apps.
-tv out function that lets u play music/movies through a tv.
-and of course tmobile. biggest 4g coverage.
-they actually made a tablet pc of the galaxy.
