my mom is getting me an itouch 3rd gen as a present cuz itouch 4's are out so the 3's are on sale for 229.

but if I wanted to get the 4th gen then I would have to pay the $70 difference (4th gens are $299).

I wont have any trouble paying the 70$ but the question is:

Is the itouch 4 so much better that i should get it and pay $70 instead of getting the 3rd gen for free?



i heard it has better screen and accelerometer or something but is it worth paying 70$ for the next gen?

No idea. The accelerometer would help it respond to screen tilts, rotations, shaking, etc more quickly though. There's probably an improved processor too. It might be worth the $70, but I don't know since I've never used either.
