because phones are basically minicomputers too. If your too cheap to pay for a phone plan this might be a good idea. Free wireless really isn't widely available enough to be relied on in most areas though, it would be a bitch to find a free wifi every single time you wanted to make a call or send a text.

well alot of phones dont have wifi, maybe they do, idk. and they defintatly wouldnt allow u to run skype. isnt an app basically a cellphone providers name for a program lol.

idk, i just got a cellphone for the first time a few weeks ago. my uncle gave me a pay as u go. but ive been thinking, theres gotta be something thats way cheaper and makes way more sense

if you have a computer, you could use it to text from home for free. all you need is an email address, and your friends #/service provider and when someone wants your #, u give out your email address

/e would cut down your usage on your pay as you go if you text a lot. would just be a bit awkward
