I need to explain why I believe "Spongebob is a sponge" is more true then "2+2=4. "

So far I wrote that Spongebob is a sponge is an analytic proposition whereas 2+2=4 is synthetic.

Any Ideas?

Sponge bob is a cartoon that is more true than 2+2=4 because someone created it. Sponge bob is just as observable as writing down 2+2 =4 on paper. Just because it's a fictional charecter doesnt take away from the fact that it's a drawing someone made in reality.

Well spongebob is a sponge is a posteriori--that is, it relies upon empirical evidence for it's claim to be true, as a sponge itself is known through empirical means. 2+2=4 is a claim that works off of accepted axioms and then bulids off of those using a priori instead of a posteriori knowledge.

They are both signs. 2+2=4 only has it's meaning because we agree on what they mean. Whereas, Sponge Bob is a sign that represents it's object because it shares characteristics with the object. In other words, the character Sponge Bob looks like its object, a sponge.
