I figured posting this in here by process of elimination.

So, its 5am here, I can't get to sleep, once again. I haven't been able to sleep properly in like...idk...a year. My sleep cycle has gone down the toilet, and its stupidly noisy 24hrs a day because I live in the middle of fucking London, opposite one of the busiest roads, next to a pub on one side, a fucking railway line on the other. I've tried everything, from simply going to bed earlier, which didnt help me because of the noise, to reading extremely boring books to make myself fall asleep. Nothing has worked. So, I'm now desperate to get into a regular sleep cycle, and I'm out of options. Except the one measure I've been telling myself NOT to use, until now. Sleeping pills. And I've decided to go for one of the safest types;

Melatonin.

Does anyone use Melatonin? which are the recommended brands? what are the best websites to get them from (UK). I'm sick and tired of having to lie awake in the dark, before I eventually end up passing out, and missing my goddamned classes. PLEASE HELP!

melatonin is helpful. Do you have a gnc around there?
otherwise now its 5 am id just stay up the rest of the day take a nap at noon or dont and just lay down and goto sleep when you can after 6pm 7pm and get rest then tomorrow and go do something during your day hours tomrrow, get lots of sun and exert yourself physically and mentally somehow... best way ive found to get to sleep is a day full of work lol..

that's because sleeping pills, much like antidepressants, are only designed to help ease the transition into a healthier lifestyle. there's no sleeping pill that you're supposed to take for more than a few weeks straight.

I would say, move, considering you live by the most busiest street.

Sleeping pill, isnt the best answer but if it will help you, I would consult a physician to make sure its safe for you.

It might not be the noise around your surroundings or your routine, it could be something psychological. :(

melatonin is a natural tryptamine that your brain produces when it gets dark outside. it's probably the safest sleeping supplement to use, just be careful the first few times you take it. they usually come in 3 or 5mg pills but if your brain doesn't produce much melatonin on it's own then you will be very sensitive to it.
