Its an Amphetamine based pharmaceutical(Adderal). Ritalin is a chemical drug similar to Amphetamine, but distinct in chemistry. They both are psychostimulants, which means they are "uppers". The drugs should be taken seriously and not prescribed to an overly bothersome child because it can significantly alter psychological development.
ADD/ADHD appears to be a behavioral issue, not a a pharmaceutical issue. Cognitive behavioral therapy works wonders.
