If it was close enough to earth to influence tides we would see it much like the moon. Since there is not another randhat moon in the night/day sky then its safe to assume that it is no where near us. As for the belief that a planet would move from beyond pluto and impact earth is just retarded.
don't get me wrong I don't believe an ounce of it. I am just trying to get some actual facts down. If this so called planet taking 3600 years to make one very bizarre rotation around the sun and then coming in between mars and Jupiter in the near future (2012) then it would be at the tail end of it's journey and should be viewable. (it's not)
But shouldn't we also see some sort of gravitational pull somewhere? considering Pluto even has an impact on alignment then something that close should already be showing some sort of sign. (there's not as far as I know)
