calcogens,halogens,representative and transition metals.
cant find this at google or books.
i know this ions are formed because they all end up on a certain sublevel.

- d shell is outermost shell
not sure what a 'representative metal' is but I'm guessing it's everything to the left of the transition ones? which would give them one, two or two to five e in the outer shell
