So, I had surgery this morning, and now that the anesthesia is wearing off, I'm very agitated. EVERY little thing bothers me. I felt like shooting my dog in the face earlier for barking. Why is this?

its because your body was used to being sedated and stopped making itself calm...the simple word for this is withdrawls.

Makes sense. I'm not used to this withdrawal thing. Never been addicted to anything.

i dont think 1 time being put under by local would cause this kind of irritation, the most common affect after local is massive irritated skin or hives, a lot of people are allergic to it. I didn't know untill AFTER i woke up from it.

if youve never had it, then its going to be a reaction like...itching, sweating, irratability, and heavier breathing...trust me its withdrawls.

If it's withdrawls then he must be put on Local on a daily basis, either that or hes got a very uncommon side affect.

After looking at some websites, i couldnt find this type of side affect from local anesthetic.
Of course, there are 3/4 different types of anesthesia.

Just like i'v never gotten addicted to smoking (even though i can buy/smoke a pack, and not buy another for 8-12 months without any problem).
