I'm planning to buy an external optical drive and HP sell it for like $49.99 their own product and samsung has similar product.
Both the specs are 100% same but samsung is $10 cheaper and no tax but HP charges $10 more and taxes. Which company is most reliable for external optical drives? I suppose since Samsung makes DVD players, maybe it will be better? But then again, HP makes computer.... so... I don't know... any advices??

I say samsung, HP puts computers together, doesn't work on the hardware so much as samsung.

HP has great customer support, if you care about that kind of thing. Samsung, not so much.

hmm yeah but it's just a optical drive (will probably not fail for both?) wouldn't it be better going cheaper? I'm not like highly CD/DVD user except I'm buying it to just make a restore/backup CD that I don't even know when I will use it.

HP sucks balls in my experience.

i sorta feel that way too when I think HP is sorta mixed with COMPAQ and compaq suck ass.

I like Samsung

They both work fine for me.
