I understand that we are running out of IP addresses under the current IP v4.
I have a File Server set up on one of my computers (I'm using the program HFS), and I was wondering if this will continue to function properly even after the transition to IP v6?
Will I have to do something to change my File Server to be on IP v6? I do not know much about computers but I like my File Server and I really need it to continue to be available to me, so I thought I would find this all out before the last minute (=

I think what they're going to do is stretch out the number of public IPs per person, instead of everyone in the neighborhood having 1 public IP they can use a router to create multiple private networks for each house. That's a temporary solution :o
