So in my time on the internet I have ran into some very idiotic things. One of these things that bothers me the most is that Oxycodone is the same chemically as Heroin(Dicetylmorphine). I would like to know if this thought is prevalent here and if you think this way; where did you get your information.

I wouldn't call it idiotic, they're chemically very similar. They have similar effects, its called hillbilly heroin for a reason.
Heroin:

In strength Heroin is Similar to Hydromorphone; Oxycodone is no where near the strength of Hydromorphone. They may be chemically similar but that can be said about all opiates. My Main Argument is that Oxycodone != Heroin.

Does it matter? It isn't the same thing, but who cares? Do you rage if you ask for a aspirin for your headache and get a Tylenol instead? I've never heard anyone say that heroin and oxycotin are the same thing, however I have heard hillbilly heroin or that they're both opiates. In the grand scheme of things, not knowing the difference won't affect anyone.

Do you make posts correcting all common misconceptions? Or just the silly ones that aren't widely believed?

When you see that type of misinformation in news documentaries it sort of bothers me. As for hillbilly heroin that cooking heroin out of morphine sulfate in the oven. It's also called homebake.

Your are an idiot.

"Oxycodone != heroin" is not an argument, it's a thesis. Learn your facts please.

Based on the 2 pictures Sioux gave us and the little i've learn'd in organic chemistry...

Oxycodone and Heroin are 2 molecules of the same "family" but are totally different.
I don't know if "family" is the good term here but i've learned those things in french

They are both Semi-Synthetic Opioids yes, but for some reason people have got it into their minds that they are the same chemical. So i posted this thread to see if this thought was prevalent here.
