there are 3rd party programs that take music from your ipod and put them onto your harddrive (itunes wont do this)

There is 1 thing you can do.
Go to options on your pc, and then go to folder optios, then say: show hidden folders.
Then go to your iPod, and find the folder: iPod_control
Then find the folder called music, copy that to your desktop.
And that folder there is alot of folders, open each folder and move those files to the same folder.
Then add that folder to iTunes, and you've moved all the music from your iPod

Pc
BUT!
All the files is named 4 random letters, but when you put them in iTunes, iTunes knows the name of them
