I got extra ram for my computer, and when I put both of them in, the screen gets fuzzy.
If I put one in each colored socket, then the computer beeps, and I think that's a memory issue.

My computer is an Acer Aspire T180 that came with 512 mb ddr2 ram.
I bought a Kingston 1 gb ddr2 pc2-5300 667 MHz ram which says it's compatible with 667 MHz (PC2-4200), 533 MHz (PC2-4200), and 400MHz (PC2-3200).
The original ram has a sticker that says: GDDR2-667 512MB 64X8 1.8V EP.

Any ideas are welcome, thank you.

some times it will , but generally different types of ram wont work together well

the colored slots will be different timing to the non colored , make sure if you dont use all of them you use the high speed ones , check your mobo manual for actual descriptions of the slots
test each stick individually to see if any are bad , then try combinations to work out what doesnt work together , unfortunately its a matter of trial and error

and yes , depending on the beep it means bad/faulty/no ram.
